Serving Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon & Fountain

Colorado Springs direct mail that actually sticks — 2,500 local fridges, every single month.

Colorado Springs Home Pros is a category-exclusive co-op EDDM mailer for local home service businesses. One oversized 8.5 × 11 card, eight non-competing contractors, delivered to every mailbox on the route — then again next month, and the month after. Homeowners keep it, because it's the list they grab when the roof leaks or the furnace quits.

Marketing in this town got expensive. This didn't.

You already know the story — leads that cost more every quarter, sold to three competitors before you can call back, and a solo mailer quote that makes your eyes water. Splitting one big card with seven non-competing pros fixes the math, and mailing the same 2,500 homes month after month fixes the part most mail gets wrong.

  • Category exclusive. One roofer. One plumber. One HVAC. Your competitor can't buy in behind you.
  • The lead is yours. Your phone number, your offer — no shared inbox, no bidding against anyone.
  • It survives the trash can. "Keep this on your fridge" is the whole design brief — it sits in the kitchen until the water heater goes.
  • We do the design. Send a logo and an offer, approve a proof. That's your whole workload.

Why we require four mailings

Nobody needs a plumber the week your card shows up.

That's the whole reason one-off mailers disappoint. A single drop only reaches the sliver of households with a problem that month. Mailing the same 2,500 homes four months running means you're already on the fridge when the problem finally happens — and you're the name they recognize instead of the first result they Google.

MAILING 1

You get noticed

The card goes up. A handful of homeowners with an active problem call right away — that's your early return, not your whole return.

MAILINGS 2–3

You get familiar

Repetition is what turns a name into a known local business. The same households see you again, and the card replaces the one that got buried.

MAILING 4

You get the call

By now you're the default. When the furnace quits in February, they don't search — they walk to the kitchen.

Four mailings is the minimum because it's the point where the math starts working in your favor — and because a neighbor who sees you once and never again is worth very little to you.

The mailer

Eight pros. One card. Both sides working.

Every slot is a full quarter-panel — your logo, your offer, your number at readable-from-the-fridge size. Here's the current design. Your panel drops straight into it.

Front of the mailer: roofing, appliance repair, plumbing and electrical panels Back of the mailer: remodeling, garage doors, foundation and HVAC panels

Mockup shown with sample businesses. Your panel is designed by our team and proofed by you before anything prints.

How it works

Three steps, about 20 minutes of your time.

STEP 01

Claim your category & route

Pick the trade you want locked and the neighborhoods you actually want to work in. We confirm the slot is still open the same day.

STEP 02

We design your panel

Send your logo, phone number and the offer you want to lead with. A proof comes back for approval — revisions included, nothing prints without your yes.

STEP 03

It mails every month

We handle print, postage and the EDDM paperwork on a monthly cycle. You get each mailing date and a route map — then you answer the phone. Change your offer between runs any time.

Availability — next mailing

Eight run each month. One business per category, ever.

These are every category we sell. Eight of them go out on each card, and whoever holds a category keeps it for as long as they keep running — so openings come up rarely. If your trade isn't listed, ask. If it doesn't compete with anyone already on the card, we'll add it.

The Home Pros Spotlight

We're interviewing Colorado Springs home-service owners and publishing the conversations on the Home Pros blog. Twenty minutes on the phone or on video, in your own words — how you started, what you've learned running a crew here, the thing homeowners always get wrong about your trade.

  • A published feature page with your name, photos and a link to your site
  • Clips and quote graphics you can post on your own social
  • Your answers help homeowners hire better — that's the whole point of the blog
  • Zero cost, zero pitch. Advertise later or never — the feature stays up either way
"We built this because the best contractors in town are usually the worst at telling people they exist."

What we ask

No script, no gotchas. Roughly:

  • How did you end up in this trade, and in Colorado Springs?
  • What should a homeowner ask before they hire someone like you?
  • What's different about this work at 6,000 feet — hail, wind, freeze-thaw?
  • The job you're proudest of, and the one that taught you the most
  • Which other local pros do you send your customers to?
Two ways in

Tell us which trade you're in.

Fastest way is to call — we'll tell you on the spot whether your category is open and what the route looks like. If email suits you better, that works too.

Reserve a category

Tell us your trade and the neighbourhoods you want. We'll check availability while you're on the phone and send the route map the same day.

Send your business name, your trade and the areas you serve. We'll come back with what's open and what the card looks like.

Straight answers

Questions owners actually ask

What does a slot cost?

Rates depend on the routes you want and how long you run, so we quote it on a call rather than posting a number that may not apply to you. What is fixed: design, print, postage and the EDDM paperwork are all included, there is no setup or design fee, and you are never charged per lead. Call 719-249-0470 and we will give you the number in about two minutes.

Why is there a four-mailing minimum?

Because one drop isn't a campaign, it's a coin flip. Only a small share of households need your trade in any given month, so a single mailing reaches mostly people who aren't ready yet. Four consecutive mailings to the same homes is what turns you into the name they already know when something breaks. We'd rather turn down a one-off than sell you a result we don't think you'll get.

What happens after the four mailings?

You continue month to month if it's working, and you keep first right of refusal on your category for as long as you run. No auto-renewal trap — you tell us either way.

Which neighborhoods get it?

We mail 2,500 homes by USPS carrier route, weighted toward the areas you actually want to work — [[list your routes: e.g. Briargate, Rockrimmon, Broadmoor, Falcon, Monument]]. You'll see the route map before we print, and the same homes receive every mailing in your run.

Can my competitor buy in too?

No. One business per category, and your category stays locked for every mailing in your run. That exclusivity is the product.

I don't have a designer. Is that a problem?

Not at all — that's the norm. Send a logo file, your phone number, and the offer you want to lead with. We build the panel, you approve the proof.

How do I know it worked?

Use a distinct offer or a tracking number on the card so calls are attributable, and ask new customers where they saw you. You'll have each mailing date, so you can watch call volume against it — and across four mailings you'll see a trend, not a single data point.

Is the interview really free?

Yes. It's how we're building the blog and getting to know the good operators in town. Plenty of people get featured and never buy an ad — the feature stays published either way. To learn more or put your name forward, email info@bigskyautomation.com.

When's the cutoff each month?

Artwork and payment close [[the 10th]] for that month's mailing. Miss it and you simply start with the following month — the card goes out either way.

Eight spots. Yours or your competitor's.

2,500 homes a month, four months minimum, one business per trade. Find out whether your category is still open — takes a minute.
